Childrens Services CHC50908 Diploma of Children’s Services
Additional Information: Police Checks are required for working in Children’s Services. Students must obtain a current check prior to commencing work experience. It is recommended that you contact your local doctor to be advised about immunizations appropriate for working in Children’s Services.
Students will be required to complete level 2 First Aid at an additional fee. To be advised
Participants are also required to complete 270 hours of work placement.

» Course Description:
This course provides opportunity for childcare workers to gain formal qualifications in the children’s services industry. Workers at this level can have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers, and in most states it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level. This qualification also provides training for childcare workers who are responsible for developing and evaluating programs used in Early Childhood Centers.
» Duration: 70 weeks ( 2 Night classes per week) 2 years (1 class per week)

» Cost: No Concession- $ 1500.00 Plus $230.00 Materials and Amenities per year if eligible / $5,000.00 full course FFS

» Pathways:
Completion of the Diploma may lead a student to an Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services or recognition for some advanced standing within an Early Childhood Degree program at University level.
