» Course Description:
This pre-apprenticeship course teaches skills including customer service, working as a team, preparing clients for services, blow waving hair, braiding, and an introduction to chemical usage in hair styling. This course will allow you to enter the industry as an apprentice. The course will be delivered 2 days a week in the classroom with the practical units delivered in an operational salon.
» Duration: Full time over 15 weeks (day class)

» Cost: Concession - $305.00 No concession $625.00 Student Hair Kit: $350.00
» Essentials/Prerequisites: Students must been 15 years and over. Students must also be motivated, show an awareness of industry requirements and keenness to work in the industry. No academic pre-requisites for this course, but the expectation are that students will have achieved an educational level that will enable them to achieve course objectives.
» Pathways:
On successful completion of Certificate II in Hairdressing students may continue on to further study in the Certificate III in Hairdressing WRH30103. Students may gain an apprenticeship or continue onto tertiary training
» Recognition of Prior Learning/Credit Transfers:
Students wishing to apply for RPL need to indicate this on the Enrolment Form. RPL Application Forms are available from the Course Co-ordinator.
Credit Transfer is the recognition and acknowledgment of modules or units of competency acquired through prior formal credentialed training (identical academic experience).
