ECG provides an extensive range of education and training opportunities to the community. The organisation engages with community members to ensure that the offerings are relevant to the needs and wishes of the target groups. Funding is accessed from a range of sources to support the delivery of education and training with one of the major sources being the Adult Community and Further Education Division of the Victorian Department of Education and Training.
Lifelong learning opportunities continue to expand with staff taking a proactive approach to trialing new opportunities. The importance of ensuring that communities have access to rich well rounded adult education opportunities is recognized as one key contributor to the development of social capital and maintenance of community health.
The delivery of traineeships by ECG is characterised by flexibility and responsiveness as well as the ability to deliver within the workplace where appropriate to the needs of the individual employee and employer needs.
The Australian Flexible Learning Framework provides the vocational education and training (VET) sytem with the essential e-learning infrastructure and expertise needed to respond to the challenges of a modern economy and the training needs of Australian businesses and workers.
