  • This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a`wide variety of small business contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others, and have responsibility for the output of others.
  • This unit describes the work associated with developing climate risk management strategies for an agricultural, horticultural or land management enterprise. It requires the ability to research climate and enterprise data, analyse and interpret climate and enterprise data, prepare risk management strategies, and integrate climate risk and opportunities for management strategies at a business management level.
    Developing climate risk management strategies teaches knowledge of current forecasting techniques, impact of weather and climate phenomena on rainfall, plant growth and yields, livestock production, causes of general patterns of weather and climate over Australia, climate variability and climate change, and direct and indirect impacts of climate variability on land management and sustainability
  • This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base in human resources management and demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure that human resources functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area. Typically they would have responsibility for the work of other staff.

  • The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the required minimum qualification for the delivery and assessment of nationally recognised training (accredited training).  Anyone working as a trainer and/or assessor in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector requires this as their minimum qualification.  This qualification is designed to provide workplace trainers and personnel within VET, with a range of training skills including: developing training programs, preparing the conducting training sessions, evaluating and assessing participants to ensure learning outcomes have been effectively achieved. 

  • This course provides opportunity for childcare workers to gain formal qualifications in the children’s services industry. Workers at this level can have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers, and in most states it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level. This qualification also provides training for childcare workers who are responsible for developing and evaluating programs used in Early Childhood Centres.
